The Yoga, Awareness and Parenting group introductory series consists of 4 sessions designed for parents who are seeking space to explore their parenting practices from new perspectives. This is an experiential group, using yogic and meditation practices and teachings to guide a self-exploratory learning experience.

The series will cover the topics: Practicing self-care; Developing a practice of 'presence'; Connecting to your inner child and creativity; Power of the word, intention and affirmation; Essential life-skills - developing intuition and living from the heart. Over the course, parents will learn a variety of yogic, meditation, breathing and visualization practices which can be shared with their partners and children.

Jess Lakin has a background in Child and Family Psychology. She is well versed in a number of parenting strategies with previous experience running parenting groups. She developed this series out of her experience as a student and teacher of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Teacher, and from the application of these teachings to her own parenting. She is passionate about the power of this work for creating positive change.

The sessions will take place on Tuesday mornings, 9.30am - 11.30am at a private residence in the Pacific Palisades. Session dates are 9/4/18, 9/11/18, 9/18/18 and 9/25/18. Space is limited, so RSVP to jesslakinyoga@gmail.com to reserve your spot.

Jess is a Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Teacher, Khalsa Way Prenatal Yoga Teacher, Holistic Life Coach, Reiki Practitioner and Sound Healer. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (UK) and worked in UK Child and Family Services for over 15 years.
