Join for a watery themed workshop as we dive deep into emotions to explore what they are, why we have them and how we can begin to hold space for and harness the incredible energy they move within us.
Emotions are a big part of our day to day lives and can take us from highs to lows and anywhere in between. Associated with the water element in many traditions, our emotions are ever changing and flowing, and hold an incredible amount of energy. When we experience heightened emotions, it can initiate discomfort in ourselves and others, and it is common to approach ourselves at these times from a perspective of fixing, avoiding or fighting our emotional experiences.
Meditation practices offer a different perspective, illuminating the wisdom which is held within our emotions and pointing to the value of bringing careful awareness to our emotional experiences. These practices, rather than trying to fix or change our experience, guide towards giving space or riding our emotion as a surfer may ride a wave.
In this workshop we will explore all things emotional, sharing some practical tips on how you can support yourself through emotional moments, and learn to harness the energy and insights which come from your emotions.
